Host your next event with a little magic.

Flare lights up two guests’ phones in the same color. They follow the glow across the room, find each other and start talking. The ice breaks itself.

Free to try with up to 10 people. Events from $29.99. Guests never pay.

Give people a reason to say hello.

Walking up to a stranger is the hardest part of any event. Flare turns it into the fun part.

Break the ice

Nobody has to work up the nerve. The light gives two people a reason to find each other, and something to laugh about when they do.

Get conversations going

Once a few people are up and looking, the room starts to move. When one introduction ends, the next can begin.

Make networking easy

Ask what people need and what they can offer, and Flare connects the ones who can help each other.

Give them a story

A room full of phones glowing in pairs doesn’t look like any other event. It’s the part your guests will tell their friends about.

How a room works with Flare

  1. Every event starts the same way.

People stand with whoever they came with. The person they’d most like to meet is thirty feet away.

  2. Guests scan in.

Put the code by the door. No sign-up, no name tags.

The host’s phone showing a large event QR code and six-digit code
  3. They answer a few questions.

You choose what to ask. The answers stay private.

A guest’s phone showing the event name and the host’s questions
  4. Flare finds who should meet.

It looks across the whole room and picks an introduction for each person.

The Flare light searching, with small dots around the ring
  5. Two phones light up.

Same color, same rhythm, and nobody near them has it.

A phone lit violet, saying someone worth looking up for, with what to look for and a button for when you find them
  6. The hunt is on.

Phones up, people moving. The closer they get, the faster the light pulses.

The same violet light, tighter and brighter, with a distance readout
  7. They find each other.

The light settles, and now they have a reason to say hello.

The light held steady with an arc filling around it, saying there you are
  8. Now it’s up to you.

Those are the app’s last words. The lights go out, phones go back in pockets, and the room gets louder.

Try the light.

This is the real light, running in your browser. Slide the two phones together and watch the pulse quicken, then hold them side by side.

Worth knowing before you book a room.

iPhone only, for now

Every guest needs an iPhone on iOS 18 or later. If much of your crowd is on Android, Flare isn’t ready for your event yet.

Up to 250 guests

That’s the current limit. We suggest starting with a rehearsal, then 50 to 100 people, before you fill a big room.

It needs a crowd

Flare only introduces people who fit. In a small room, some guests may wait a while, or not be matched at all.

It doesn’t vet anyone

Flare doesn’t check identities or run background checks. You remain responsible for the room, including age checks at the door.

Questions organizers ask.

All questions

What does it cost?

Guests never pay. Hosts pay once per event for its size: up to 10 is free, 15 is $29.99, 50 is $79.99, 100 is $149.99 and 250 is $299.99. There’s no subscription and no per-match fee. Prices are U.S. prices, and Apple shows your local price before you buy.

Do guests need an iPhone?

Yes, for now. Flare is an iPhone app and needs iOS 18 or later. If much of your crowd uses Android, it isn’t ready for your event yet. Guests on older iPhones without Ultra Wideband can still take part, using Bluetooth to sense closeness.

What if someone doesn’t get matched?

Their light keeps searching. New people arrive and others finish resting, and Flare tries again. In a small room, or for someone with narrow preferences, it may not find anyone, and your welcome should say so. Guests who chose a Good or Strong match can widen their chances by switching to Okay.

Can I see who matched with whom?

No. You see totals: how many joined, how many introductions were offered, how strong they were, and how many led to a meeting. You never see anyone’s answers or who matched with whom.

Will people spot the light in a dark room?

That’s where it works best. In a bright room, the rhythm and the phone’s vibration do more of the work, and the pulse still quickens as two people get closer. The app also has a Beacon mode that uses full brightness to make the light easier to spot.
