Results are totals. You’ll never see who matched with whom or what anyone answered, and nobody else will either. That’s what lets guests answer honestly. Here’s what the numbers tell you.

Results showing 48 participants, 22 introductions offered, 17 meetings reported and 77 percent that met, with counts for Spark, Glow and Flare. Example numbers.

How to read them

  • Many couldn’t find each other. The room may be too crowded or too bright, or people may have split across floors. Suggest Beacon mode, and bring people into one space.
  • Many expired. People may have stopped looking at their phones. Mention in your welcome that the phone will buzz, and encourage guests to allow notifications.
  • Many passed. Try better questions. If people often don’t want the person they’re offered, check you’re asking about what they care about.
  • Long waits. You may need a bigger room, broader answer choices, or to split fewer people across contexts. Guests holding out for a Good or Strong match also wait longer.
  • Mostly Sparks. That’s normal, and it doesn’t mean a bad night. A Spark still meets our bar for a good introduction.
What the numbers can’t tell you

Match strength estimates fit from answers. It doesn’t measure whether a conversation went well. Reported meetings tell you that people found each other, not that they were glad they did. If you want to know, ask your guests.
